How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Job Title: Teaching Assistant
    Location: Huyton, Liverpool
    Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term Hours: 08:45 – 15:45 (Monday to Friday)
Are you looking for a long-term role as a Teaching Assistant in a supportive, "Outstanding" environment? We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team in Huyton to work with students aged 14–19 who have moderate epilepsy, ASD and Moderate learning needs.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring student safety while delivering a curriculum focused on independence. This is a brilliant opportunity for a Teaching Assistant to build a career in a school that truly values its staff.
Working as a Teaching Assistant with this age group requires a unique blend of medical vigilance and mentorship. While we prefer candidates with a background in SEN, we are committed to your professional development; we will provide comprehensive epilepsy training to upskill you, ensuring you are confident in seizure management and emergency protocols.
Our curriculum is designed to bridge the gap between school and adulthood. You will support students in mastering the skills they need for a successful future.
    Key learning areas include:
    *
Budgeting & Shopping: Practical sessions on managing money, understanding the "cost of living," and making healthy choices.
    *
Independent Living: Safe cooking techniques, laundry, and personal organization.
    *
Employability: Developing CVs, practicing interview techniques, and social cues for the workplace.
    *
Health Advocacy: Helping students understand their epilepsy, recognize "auras" or triggers, and learn how to communicate their medical needs to others.
    What We Offer
    *
    Stability: A full-time, long-term position with consistent hours (08:45–15:45).
    *
Professional Growth: Specialized epilepsy training and medical upskilling provided on-site.
    *
Environment: Work within an "Outstanding" rated school with a collaborative and friendly staff culture.
    About You
    *
You are calm under pressure and able to follow healthcare plans precisely.
    *
You have a genuine interest in supporting the 14–19 age group through their transition to adulthood.
    *
You are looking for a full-time commitment in the Huyton area
