How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Job Introduction

    The Project Engineer is a key member of the Project Realisation function. They manage and provide the necessary engineering details to build our solutions safely, cost-effectively, and to all relevant standards. They are responsible for developing engineered solutions, from customer commitment through implementation to handover and verification of system design to ensure compliance with current legislation.

    You'll be joining an establish team who work on very large automation projects across the globe.

    You'll be based in our head office in Market Harborough two days per week with the rest of your time spent working from home. You will be travelling very occasionally to sites that you are working on but this may only be as little as twice per year.

    WHAT YOU'LL BE HANDLING

    * Review of design operational feasibility

    * Identify added value opportunities and cost saving opportunities for TGW

    * Prepare system layouts and GA’s

    * Prepare site installation packs

    * Prepare detailed specifications and design documents

    * Review of equipment design and specifications to ensure standardisation of design across all projects

    * Ensure that the right TGW equipment is used (Technical detail engineering)

    * Support the continuous improvement process within your area

    * Review of equipment throughputs and capacities

    * Prepare the technical section of ITT’s

    * Complete the Technical analysis of tender returns

    * Develop the design risk assessments and the review of projects to ensure that all current legislation is fully complied with

    * Maintain a working knowledge of the regulations of the local authorities and ensure design is to relevant BS/EN Standards

    * Participation in regular design team reviews, project reviews and customer meetings where required including preparation of adequate minutes

    * Surveying of sites and installations

    * Management of general project documentation

    * Assist in the preparation of H&S files / technical files and provide technical sales support

    * Maintain and develop departmental processes to ensure a continuous drive towards improving efficiency

    * Carry out design reviews and validation of designs to ensure the solution can be CE / UKCA marked

    WHAT YOU’LL NEED

    Essential

    * Educated to at least HNC level in Engineering

    * Proficient CAD user

    * Strong MS Office experience, including Excel and Project

    * Excellent communication skills

    * Ability to work in precise and structured methods

    * Abililty to travel approx 25% travel to client sites and TGW locations

    Desirable

    * Cost awareness

    * Experience in similar role, ideally in a Materials Handling environment

    * Experience of completing 3D layouts
