Location: Southampton
Rate: £18+ per hour (DOE)
Hours: Monday – Friday, 7am–4pm (40 hours per week)
Overtime: Paid at time and a half
Holiday: 20 days per year + pension
A well-established commercial vehicle workshop in Southampton is currently recruiting two experienced HGV Mechanics / Fitters to join their busy and professional team.
The Role
This is a workshop-based position working primarily on HGVs, with occasional LCV work. Responsibilities include:

Safety inspections and routine servicing
*
MOT preparation
*
Brake testing
*
Welding and fabrication
*
General mechanical repairs and fault finding
Requirements
*
Proven experience as an HGV Technician / Mechanic / Fitter
*
Experience with rigid and articulated vehicles and trailers
*
HGV Level 3 qualification (or equivalent)
*
Clean UK driving licence
*
Flexible and reliable approach to work
Desirable (but not essential)
*
HGV Class 1 licence
*
Driver CPC
