How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Location: Nottingham

    Employment Type: Full-Time

Company: A leading UK construction workforce solutions provider

Are you an experienced recruitment or labour management professional ready to take ownership of one of the largest construction accounts in the region? This is a rare opportunity to lead, manage and grow a major account from within the client’s offices—acting as the onsite expert for all labour supply and workforce management needs.

    About the Role

We’re seeking a highly organised, relationship-focused Recruitment / Labour Manager to oversee a high-volume construction desk supplying up to 200 operatives at any given time. You will be the primary point of contact onsite, ensuring the client receives exceptional service, reliable staffing, and proactive workforce planning.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced construction environment and enjoys building strong partnerships with both clients and operatives.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Oversee the full labour supply process for a major construction account.

    * Maintain and manage a workforce of up to 200 operatives, including labourers, storemen, fire cladders, and other key site personnel.

    * Work onsite direct at the client’s office as the dedicated contact for all recruitment and labour coordination.

    * Handle compliance, right-to-work checks, onboarding, timesheets, and daily workforce allocations.

    * Anticipate labour requirements and proactively build a strong pipeline of suitable candidates.

    * Foster solid relationships with operational teams and site managers.

    What We’re Looking For

    * Experience in construction recruitment, labour management, or onsite workforce coordination.

    * Confident relationship‑builder comfortable working closely with site and project teams.

    * Strong organisation and multitasking skills with the ability to manage high-volume requirements.

    * A proactive mindset and a problem‑solving approach to daily operational challenges.

    What’s in It for You

    * Ownership of a flagship, high-volume account.

    * Fully embedded onsite role with real influence and visibility.

    * Competitive salary and benefits package.

    * Opportunity to progress within a growing, dynamic company
