How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    * Support the Sr Project managers (site based & group engineering) with the design of new recycling plants
    * Ensure all E&I systems comply with UK regulations (e.g., BS7671, ATEX, DSEAR, PUWER, COMAH).
    * Oversee and ensure delivery of small to mid-sized enabling projects including automation upgrades, control system improvements, and equipment replacements.
    * Act as the engineering authority for all plant-wide E&I modifications and change control.
    * Develop scopes, cost estimates, and execution plans for E&I and automation work packages.
    * Manage project timelines, budgets, risks, and resources in alignment with business priorities.
    * Collaborate with (external) automation and process engineers to enhance process control and digitalization.
    * Maintain and improve PLC, SCADA, DCS, and HMI systems (preferably Siemens-based).
    * Ensure cybersecurity standards are upheld in all automation-related systems.
    * Coordinate with OEMs, integrators, and contractors for specialist E&I or automation work.
    * Lead E&I input into site outages, shutdowns, turnarounds, and start-ups.
    * Maintain accurate as-built documentation, drawings, loop diagrams, and E&I asset registers.
    * Contribute to site reliability efforts through root cause analysis and equipment performance monitoring.
    * Support safety studies (HAZOP, LOPA) and provide E&I expertise in hazard identification and risk reduction.
    * Be the primary E&I contact for large capital projects delivered by group project teams.
    * Ensure effective handover and integration of project deliverables into operational maintenance
Ideally you will have the following:

    * Proven track record managing E&I maintenance and projects, including budget responsibility.
    * Strong working knowledge of UK electrical regulations, functional safety, and industrial control systems.
    * Experience with permit-to-work systems, contractor management, and site safety leadership.
    * Familiarity with CMMS and engineering drawing tools (e.g., AutoCAD).
    * Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
