How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Overview

    An exciting opportunity for an ambitious 360 Recruitment Consultant to join a growing and high-performing team, specialising in Trades & Labour permanent placements.

    This role offers the chance to work on an established desk with existing client relationships, while also building your own market presence within the construction and trades sector.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage and develop a Trades & Labour permanent desk, placing skilled professionals across construction projects
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with both clients and candidates
    • Proactively generate new business through business development and client outreach
    • Source candidates via job boards, networking, referrals and headhunting
    • Screen, interview and shortlist candidates for client roles
    • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from job brief through to offer stage
    • Negotiate salaries, terms and offers between clients and candidates
    • Ensure compliance with recruitment best practice and industry standards
    • Maintain accurate records using CRM systems

    Key Requirements

    • Proven experience in 360 recruitment, ideally within trades, construction or technical sectors
    • Strong business development and billing track record
    • Ability to manage a fast-paced, target-driven desk
    • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
    • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
    • Self-motivated, ambitious and results-driven
    • Knowledge of the local construction or trades market is advantageous
