    The role offers a blend of office-based work, stakeholder engagement, and oversight of operational delivery across Worcestershire and surrounding areas.

    The Role

    You will play a pivotal role in managing contractor performance, driving value for money, and embedding a consistent contract management framework across the organisation.

    Key Responsibilities:

    * Oversee repairs, maintenance, and specialist works contracts from procurement through to delivery and completion

    * Manage contractor performance against KPIs and SLAs, driving continuous improvement

    * Lead regular performance and review meetings with contractors

    * Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, statutory requirements, and contract obligations

    * Monitor budgets, approve invoices, and ensure effective cost control and value for money

    * Analyse and validate performance data across internal and contractor systems

    * Manage contract variations, disputes, and commercial negotiations

    * Implement quality assurance processes, including post-inspections and audits

    * Act as the key point of contact for internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders

    * Support procurement activities, contract mobilisation, and future contract strategies

    * Contribute to the development and implementation of a contract management framework across property services

    About You

    * Degree or professional qualification in Construction, Quantity Surveying, Facilities Management, or a related field

    * Proven experience managing large-scale repairs and maintenance contracts

    * Strong understanding of contract law, compliance, building regulations, and health & safety

    * Experience managing contractor performance, KPIs, and SLAs within a housing or main contractor environment

    * Strong financial acumen, including budget management and cost control

    * Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills

    Desirable:

    * Experience within social housing or main contractor environments

    * Professional membership (e.g. RICS, CIOB)

    * Project management qualifications (e.g. PRINCE2, APM)

    * Experience with housing management systems and Schedule of Rates (SoR)

    Benefits

    * Hybrid working arrangements

    * Holiday buying/selling scheme and paid leave for birthdays/annual celebrations

    * 2 days paid leave to support house moves after probation

    * Life assurance and health cash plan covering dental, physiotherapy, consultations, and 24-hour helpline

    * Company contribution to wellbeing, mindfulness, and fitness programmes

    * Online retail, supermarket, cinema, insurance, and holiday discounts

    * Funded training and sponsored professional qualifications
