How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Senior Design Engineer

    £52,000 - £55,000 + Training + Progression + Hybrid + Benefits

    Stroud (Commutable from: Gloucester, Cheltenham, Swindon, Bristol, Chepstow, Thornbury, Cirencester, Oxford and surrounding areas)

    Do you have Design, Project and Mechanical experience looking for a highly-varied role where you can see your creations brought to life, assist with Design and Manufacturing processes and have full autonomy?

    This is a fantastic opportunity to join a global-manufacturer, who are allowing you to become the go-to technical expert, in which they will invest through training and progression.

    This company are a multi-million pound supplier of Industrial equipment into a range of sectors. Due to consistent growth this is a new role within the business.

    In this role you will be responsible for the Mechanical Design of components, tooling and new products. You will also support the development of these through overseeing the Manufacturing and Project lead process.

    This role would suit a Lead Design Engineer with practical experience who enjoys being involved from concept through to manufacture and wants long-term job stability.

    The Role:

    Mechanical design of components, assemblies, tooling, and production fixtures
    Working closely with manufacturing to resolve engineering and production issues
    Monday - Friday days role within a manufacturing environment
    The Person:

    Mechanical Engineering background
    Experience with CAD / Design
    Hands-on mindset with exposure to manufacturing, prototyping, or shop floor support
    Commutable to areas listed.
