How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Senior Support Worker - Nights
    Location - Bangeston Hall
    Hourly rate - £12.80 to £13.70
    Full time - Night shifts - 36 hours per week
    Are you looking for a new challenge and the opportunity for career development? We have an exciting opportunity in Pembroke Dock for a Senior Support Worker to join our home in Bangeston Hall, where you will support individuals with complex needs associated with autism.
    You will be assisting in the day to day management of the home and help continue to improve the lives of the individuals we support. You will play a vital role in both the home and wider organisation, acting as a positive role model to both staff and our supported individuals.

To do well in this role, you’ll need to have a passion for supporting individuals to live as fulfilled and independent lives as possible and everyday you will make a difference to the lives of people we support.
    A day in the life of a Night Senior Support Worker with Orbis Education and Care Involves:
    * Act as shift leader Assist in ensuring service scouring standards are maintained.
    * Assist in reporting and evidence gathering activities.
    * Work in partnership with internal and external stakeholders.
    * Participate in assessment, development and review of support and care plans.
    * Promote and celebrate homes achievements.
    To be a successful Senior Support Worker with Orbis Education and Care, you'll need:
    * Experience in a positive support environment.
    * QCF level 3 qualified.
    * Experience in managing challenging behaviour.
    * Knowledge of statutory regulations.
    * Lead by example and always act as a positive role model.
    * Upload company policies and standards.
    * Able to understand and adhere to relevant safeguarding.
    * Good awareness of conducting Health and Safety risk assessments.
    * Ability to work a rotating night shift pattern.
    Please note: This job role involves regulated activity with adults and requires an enhanced DBS with barred list check.
