We’re working with a specialist airside engineering team at Birmingham Airport, offering the opportunity to work on a varied fleet including HGVs, plant machinery, and ground support equipment (GSE) within a highly regulated airport environment. This is a role where safety, reliability, and precision are critical.
The Role
As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for:
Carrying out maintenance, servicing, and repairs on HGVs, plant vehicles, and GSE
Diagnosing faults and performing detailed technical investigations
Working within a professional, safety-critical airside workshop
Ensuring all work is completed to high industry and compliance standards
Level 3 City & Guilds or NVQ in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
Proven experience working on HGV, plant, or GSE equipment
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
Ability to pass 5-year employment history checks (airport security requirement)
HGV licence (desirable but not essential)
Competitive salary: £39,000 – £45,000 (DOE)
