How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Quantity Surveyor
    Warrington
    £45,000 – £55,000 | Hybrid Working | Commercial & High-Rise Residential Facades Projects

    A specialist contractor delivering large-scale façade and cladding remediation projects is looking to add a Quantity Surveyor to their North West team.

    This role would suit someone with around 4–5 years’ commercial experience who is ready to take ownership of packages while continuing to develop within a supportive environment. You’ll work across both site and office, managing key commercial functions and supporting the successful delivery of live projects.

    Façade or cladding experience would be beneficial but isn’t essential — the focus is on someone commercially aware, proactive, and confident managing projects and subcontractors.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Managing valuations, variations, and cost reporting on live projects

    * Procuring subcontractors and managing accounts through to final account

    * Preparing interim applications, payment assessments, and final accounts

    * Working closely with site teams and project managers to track costs and variations

    * Maintaining accurate commercial records and ensuring effective cost control

    Requirements

    * Experience in a Quantity Surveyor role within construction (circa 4–5 years)

    * Strong understanding of cost control and commercial processes

    * Ability to manage subcontractor accounts independently

    * Good communication skills and confidence working with site teams

    * Organised and commercially focused approach
