How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Title: UPS Engineer
    Location: UK (Field-Based)

    About the Role

    Our client is a leading provider of critical power solutions, delivering tailored and cost-effective services to ensure uninterrupted operations for businesses and organisations across the UK and Ireland. With a strong reputation for reliability and technical expertise, they support a diverse client base including councils, manufacturers, and data centres.

    They are now seeking a skilled and motivated UPS Engineer to join their growing team. This is a field-based role where you will play a key part in delivering high-quality installation, maintenance, and repair services for Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Install, service, and maintain UPS systems across a variety of client sites

    * Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs to minimise downtime

    * Perform scheduled maintenance and system health checks

    * Provide technical support and advice to clients on-site

    * Ensure all work is completed in line with safety and compliance standards

    * Deliver excellent customer service and maintain strong client relationships

    * Collaborate with internal teams to support successful project delivery

    About You

    * Proven experience in UPS installation, servicing, maintenance, and repair

    * Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including installation and testing

    * Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills

    * Ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues

    * Experience within the critical power or engineering sector is highly desirable

    * Relevant engineering or technical qualifications

    * Committed to working safely and adhering to compliance standards

    * Flexible with travel and willing to stay away from home when required
