What You'll Be Doing
1:1 & Small Group Support: Provide tailored assistance to pupils with a range of needs, including Autism (ASD), ADHD, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges.
Adapting Learning: Work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to differentiate lesson plans and prepare specialized resources.
Implementing Plans: Help deliver Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and follow targets set out in Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
Promoting Independence: Encourage pupils to develop self-regulation skills, confidence, and social interaction.
Wellbeing & Care: Support pupils' physical and emotional welfare, which may include assisting with mobility or personal care where required.Who We're Looking For
Experience: Previous experience supporting children with SEN in a school or care setting is highly desirable.
Attributes: You must be naturally patient, resilient, and able to remain calm under pressure.
Qualifications: A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is preferred.
Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and external specialists.
