An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Private Sector Housing Officer to join a London Borough on an initial 3-month contract.

This role sits within a busy and well-established Private Sector Housing team, offering the chance to contribute to improving housing standards, ensuring compliance, and delivering effective enforcement across the borough.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out HHSRS inspections and property assessments
Manage and process HMO licensing applications
Undertake housing enforcement activity in line with current legislation
Manage an independent caseload within a Local Authority setting
Work collaboratively with internal departments and external stakeholdersEssential Requirements:

Strong experience working within Private Sector Housing in a Local Authority
In-depth knowledge of the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS)
Experience with HMO Licensing
Proven enforcement experience (essential)
Ability to work autonomously and hit the ground runningAdditional Information:
