On behalf of our globally respected client who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet's vital power needs we are looking for a Masker for a 12 months contract based in Derby. Please note that this position is going to be on a three shift rotating pattern (mornings, afternoons and nights).

Purpose of the role:

Working within a small team across three shifts you will be required to carry out masking of shafts for both abrasive blasting and painting.
What you'll do:

Interpreting and working in accordance with technical instructions, Manufacturing Data Templates (MDT), and finalised engineering drawings.
Identifying all areas that require masking prior to surface preparation and coating.
Determining appropriate masking methods-manual or mechanical-based on specification and component requirements.
Preparing components to ensure blasters and paint sprayers can perform their tasks efficiently and to the required quality standards.
Required skills/experience:

Follow all Health, Safety and Environmental procedures and regulations, maintaining a safe clean and tidy work area.
Interpret Manufacturing drawings, technical instructions and written specifications.
Deliver right first time quality for each operation
Work within an integrated team to achieve cell objectives.
Quality check own work and complete relevant documentation accurately.
Previous experience would be beneficial although full training is available for the successful candidate.Next steps
