Tradewind Recruitment are currently working in partnership with a specialist educational setting in the High Peak area to recruit a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people who require additional support to manage their behaviour and engage positively with learning.
The Role:
Supporting students with behavioural and emotional needs on a 1:1 and small group basis
Implementing behaviour management strategies and de-escalation techniques
Assisting the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
Promoting a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment
Building strong, positive relationships with students to encourage progress and confidenceThe Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Experience working with children or young people with challenging behaviour (school-based or alternative settings)
A calm, patient, and consistent approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs
Relevant qualifications or training (desirable but not essential)
