How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    EYFS Class Teacher - September 2026 start

    Croydon | 3-Form Entry Primary School | Full-Time | Long-Term - Permanent

    Tradewind Recruitment is working with a welcoming and close-knit primary school in Croydon that is seeking a nurturing and dedicated Reception Class Teacher to join them from the start of the summer term on a long-term, full-time basis - with potential to go permanent.

    The Role

    You will take full responsibility for the Reception class, delivering a creative, EYFS curriculum while ensuring children make strong progress both academically and socially.

    Key responsibilities include:

    Planning and delivering engaging EYFS lessons in line with the Early Years Framework
    Creating a nurturing, stimulating classroom environment
    Supporting children's early phonics, communication and personal development
    Working closely with teaching assistants and parents
    Tracking progress and adapting provision to meet individual needsThe school is looking for a teacher who can balance warmth and care with clear structure and high expectations.

    The Ideal Candidate

    The successful applicant will:

    Hold UK QTS
    Have strong EYFS experience, ideally within Reception
    Be confident in delivering phonics and early maths
    Demonstrate a nurturing, patient and positive approach
    Be committed to building strong relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues
    Be seeking a long-term, stable opportunity within a supportive schoolThis role would suit either an experienced EYFS teacher or a confident early-career teacher with strong Reception experience.
