    Salary: £35,000 – £40,000
    Location: Derby (East Midlands / West Midlands)
    Contract: Full-time | Permanent

    The Role

    As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving new business across the Midlands, with a strong focus on apprenticeships. This is a client-facing role where you will identify opportunities, build relationships, and convert leads into long-term partnerships.

    Key responsibilities include:

    * Proactively generating new business opportunities and expanding the client base

    * Building and nurturing relationships with employers across a range of sectors

    * Promoting apprenticeship programmes and tailoring solutions to meet client needs

    * Managing the full sales cycle from lead generation through to contract closure

    * Working closely with internal delivery teams to ensure a seamless client experience

    * Keeping up to date with market trends and funding changes within apprenticeships

    This role is ideal for someone who enjoys autonomy, thrives on targets, and takes pride in delivering results.

    The Ideal Candidate

    You’ll be an experienced and well-rounded Business Development professional with a strong background in apprenticeships and a proven ability to win new business.

    You will have:

    * Demonstrable experience in business development within the apprenticeships sector

    * A strong track record of generating and converting new business opportunities

    * Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills

    * A proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to work independently

    * Strong commercial awareness and understanding of employer needs

    * The ability to operate as an “all-rounder” in a fast-paced environment
