How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Mechanical Maintenance Engineer - Days

    £45,000 + Overtime + Training + Progression + Excellent Company Benefits

    Are you a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer/Technician looking for a stable Monday to Friday role where you can boost your earnings through overtime while maintaining a strong work life balance?

    This is a great opportunity to join a well established global manufacturer at a modern site that has recently seen major investment in new equipment and production lines, with clear opportunities for progression.

    In this role, you'll carry out planned and reactive maintenance across industrial equipment, working closely with the engineering team to minimise downtime and improve reliability, with optional overtime available to increase your earnings.

    This would suit a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer/Technician from a manufacturing or industrial background looking to move into a days based role with no shifts, offering long term stability and strong benefits.

    The Role:

    Mechanical maintenance across production and site equipment

    Planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding and repairs

    Supporting continuous improvement and reliability projects

    Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm, 37.5 hours

    Overtime available to increase earnings
