    Shape the future of offshore engineering on high-impact projects.

    This is a standout opportunity for an experienced Lead Structural Engineer to take ownership of complex offshore projects, driving technical excellence from concept through to installation and life extension. You will play a pivotal role influencing design decisions, leading engineering teams, and engaging directly with key stakeholders.
    If you enjoy solving challenging engineering problems, mentoring others, and delivering to the highest industry standards, this role offers both autonomy and impact within a dynamic project environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Lead structural engineering delivery across offshore platform projects

    * Act as technical authority, approving calculations, analyses, and designs

    * Manage planning, resourcing, and execution of engineering scopes

    * Perform and review advanced structural analyses (fatigue, seismic, dynamic, installation)

    * Ensure compliance with API, DNV, ISO, and AWS standards

    * Lead design reviews, risk assessments, and technical governance activities

    * Coordinate multi-discipline interfaces and subcontract engineering scopes

    * Engage with clients, IVBs, and classification bodies

    * Support fabrication, loadout, transportation, and installation phases

    * Mentor and develop junior engineers within project teams

    Qualifications & Requirements

    * Degree in Structural, Civil, Mechanical or related discipline

    * Chartered Engineer status or working towards chartership preferred

    * Significant offshore oil & gas or energy sector experience

    * Strong background in offshore structures (jackets, topsides, subsea)

    * Proven leadership experience managing engineering teams

    * Expertise in SACS (essential) and other FEA tools (desirable)

    * Strong knowledge of industry design codes and standards

    * Experience in client-facing technical roles

    * Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

    * Ability to work independently in fast-paced project environments

    What’s in it for you

    The oil and gas sector continues to offer long-term career stability, exposure to large-scale global projects, and opportunities to work at the forefront of engineering innovation. With increasing demand across traditional and transition energy projects, skilled engineers are highly valued and well rewarded.

    * Competitive contract day rates

    * This role is office based

    * Exposure to complex, high-value offshore projects

    * Opportunity to work with leading engineering specialists

    * Collaborative, high-performing project teams
