Duties:
* Vehicle‑Level Testing Across Multiple Facilities: Conduct full‑vehicle testing across proving grounds, laboratories, workshops, and specialist test environments, ensuring consistent and high‑quality execution.
* Evaluate System & Vehicle Performance: Use deep system understanding to assess test outcomes and distinguish expected from unexpected behaviour.
* Fault Identification & Resolution: Diagnose issues identified during vehicle testing and implement effective corrective actions.
* Programme Context Awareness: Maintain awareness of sister vehicle test plans, programme maturity, and upstream/downstream dependencies.
* Develop & Maintain DVPs: Create and manage Development & Validation Plans in collaboration with Lead Engineers and Feature Owners.
* Custodianship of Test Assets: Ensure all vehicles, rigs, and laboratory equipment remain safe, compliant, and test‑ready.
* Data Analysis & Reporting: Interpret test results and provide clear technical input to Lead Engineers and HFMS teams.
* Next‑Step Ownership: Define, coordinate, and track follow‑up actions.
* Team Integration: Work effectively within HFMS squads and cross‑functional groups.
* Shift & Resource Efficiency: Support structured shift patterns to maximise facility utilisation and productivity.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Represent systems professionally during workshops, reviews, and technical discussions.
* Independence & Accountability: Proactively manage tasks and resolve challenges with minimal supervision.
* Responsiveness to Programme Needs: Maintain readiness to support deadlines, test events, and unplanned requirements.
Working Conditions

Education & Qualifications
Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Automotive, Electrical, Systems, or similar) – preferred.
Proven experience in vehicle testing, validation, or development engineering.
Familiarity with automotive systems, instrumentation, diagnostics, and test methodologies is advantageous.
Must have a valid UK driving licence (essential for vehicle‑level testing and facility operation).
Additional Notes:
The role will require the following: Normal hours 8 hours per day with core hours 9:00 - 15:30.
When supporting Climatic Wind Tunnel Testing as required, Shifts are 06:00 - 14:00 or 14:00 until 22:00 7 days per week as per program scheduling. Usually 1-2 weekend days per month.
Testing Location is Gaydon, MIRA Nuneaton, Mahle Northampton or FKFS Stuttgart
