Lead Engineer: Aerodynamics

This is a fantastic chance for ambitious engineers within aerospace to join a growing team at the forefront rocket propulsion in the UK. A start-up now 50 strong with significant investment, you’ll have the chance to lead aerodynamic design and development on critical anti-missile systems across the entire product lifecycle.

In this role you will work closely with the Product Lead and other senior figures, joining at a key phase of conceptual design, where you must evaluate concepts, design and support wind tunnels and develop integral design tools. You must be able rapidly evaluate concepts in propulsion, mechanical and GNC, and work within a fast-paced and demanding environment, understanding technicalities at a systems level.

What are we looking for?

7-10years+ experience with missile, rocket/aerodynamic systems
Degree: aerospace engineering or relatable
Technical understanding of subsonic, transonic and supersonic regimes and CFD analysis
Ability work within a fast paced, start-up R&D environment
Desirable: experience with Ansys, hypersonic flows and/or coding
Candidates who can hold UK SC Clearance will be preferred
