    Class Teacher (SEN) - Specialist Primary School

    About the Role

    We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Class Teacher to join a specialist primary setting supporting children with Learning Difficulties, Autism, and Speech & Language Needs.

    Key Responsibilities

    Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual EHCP outcomes
    Lead the day-to-day teaching and care of a class of pupils with SEN
    Monitor, assess, and report on student progress and achievements
    Provide strong pastoral support to pupils
    Work collaboratively with parents, therapists, and external professionals
    Line manage and support Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) within the classroom
    Contribute to curriculum development and whole-school improvement
    Prepare reports for Annual Reviews and maintain accurate student records
    Participate in school activities including PE, swimming, and enrichment programmes

    About You

    We are looking for someone who:

    Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
    Has experience working with SEN, particularly ASD or complex needs
    Is confident managing a classroom with additional support staff
    Demonstrates strong behaviour management and communication skills
    Is committed to inclusive education and pupil wellbeing
    Is flexible, proactive, and a strong team player

    The Environment

    This role involves working in a specialist setting, which may include:

    Supporting pupils with personal care needs
    Assisting with medical or therapeutic programmes (training provided)
    Participating in physical activities (e.g. PE, swimming)
    Working in a hands-on, dynamic classroom environment
