How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

We're looking for an experienced quality manager to be the quality lead for various Motorsport / Defence / Aerospace OEMs for my client based in Milton Keynes. You'll be working closely alongside the head of production to lead the quality department.

You'll be part of a new senior leadership team and be involved with delivering on the high quality standards expected from customers including formula 1 teams.

In this role you will be leading a team of 3 quality engineers and a quality supervisor, will have indirect reports underneath the supervisor.

We need someone with that shop floor experience that has risen up the ranks through quality departments. We're happy to consider someone without management experience as you'll be hands on still and leading a small team. You'll need to be familiar with quality systems and quality tools such as root cause analysis, 8D, 5 Why etc......

Communication is a big part of this role, you'll need to be confident with speaking to your direct team, other internal teams/managers and customers.

The business is performing as strong as ever and are expanding further into new sectors, the pipeline of work is as strong as ever so you'll be joining the team at an exciting time.

You'll be working out of a specially kitted out manufacturing workshop, one that you would be proud to call work, which is conveniently located on the outskirts of Milton Keynes centre. The senior management team are a very hard working and dedicated group, so someone who shares that approach will no doubt thrive in this company.

Lets re-cap; you have a strong background within quality engineering, excellent communication skills and have that shop floor style background.......if this sounds like you then we would love to hear from you.

Please click to apply and Graeme Marks will be in touch to tell you all about it
