How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Lead Electrical Maintenance Engineer
    London Bridge
    £50,000 - £54,000
     
    An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Lead Electrical Engineer to join a leading FM service provider on a prestigious, high-profile site in Central London. This is a key position on site, overseeing a team of Day Engineers and ensuring the smooth delivery of all maintenance activities.
     
    Working Monday to Friday (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM), you will take the lead on all electrical maintenance while remaining hands-on across both planned and reactive works. This role is ideally suited to an electrically biased engineer with strong leadership experience and a solid background in building services.

    Duties

    Oversee day-to-day engineering operations on site
    Lead and support a team of maintenance engineers
    Carry out PPMs and reactive maintenance
    Single & Three Phase Power
    UPS Systems
    Generators (on/off load tests)
    LV switching & shutdowns
    Emergency lighting & fire alarms
    AHUs, FCUs, VAVs, pumps, motors, belts & bearings
    Ensure safe isolation of plant and systems in line with procedures
    Manage subcontractors on site
    Ensure all works are completed to compliance and safety standards
    Produce reports, complete logbooks and RAMS
    Issue and manage permits to work
    Liaise with client representatives and stakeholders
    Use PDA systems to raise and close jobs Requirements

    City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
    Strong electrical bias with good all-round building services knowledge
    Proven experience leading or supervising an engineering team
    Background in commercial building maintenance
    Strong communication and organisational skills

    £50,000 - £54,000 salary
    Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
