How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    About the Job

    The Company

    Our client, Yamazaki Mazak is a leading global manufacturing company based in Worcester. This is an excellent opportunity to work for a market leading Machine Tool manufacturer who have been at the forefront of the industry for many years.

    Mazak's Spindle Service Centre (SSC) is a dedicated resource that maximises Spindle performance for our customers. The department is looking to invest in capacity to align production with the increased demand for SSC-repaired spindles.

    The successful candidate will be part of the Spindle Strip & Wash team based at the PDC site, working together to achieve targets set by the area team leader.

    Job Description

    The Role

    Strip down returned broken spindles.
    Clean parts using approved methods.
    Test spindle stators to check if they are good to reuse.
    Inspect stripped parts to determine if they can be reused.
    Follow health & safety guidelines.

    Essential Criteria:

    Self-motivated and organised with the ability to plan.
    Good communication skills and attention to detail.
    Keen to learn new skills and transfer knowledge within the team, always acting as a team player.
    Has a problem-solving mindset.
    Flexible for overtime when required to meet the production target.
    Ability to work with hand tools safely.
    Ability to work under pressure.
    Ability to work with or without supervision.
     Desirable Criteria:

    Experience in dismantling and cleaning mechanical parts safely.
    Experience in forklift operation.
    Experience in motor testing
    Experience in parts inspection and re-ordering.
    Apprentice trained.
