We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Plater to join our manufacturing team in Scunthorpe. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal components, primarily using skilled metalwork techniques. Duties
* Fabricate metal components by cutting, shaping, and assembling sheet metal using hand tools and power tools
* Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to guide fabrication processes
* Use various power tools, to complete assembly tasks
* Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure adherence to specifications
* Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations
* Assist with the installation of fabricated components as required
* Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure optimal operation
Skills
* Experience with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication processes
* Strong understanding of sheet metal work and assembly procedures
* Mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
* Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication
* Ability to work accurately under supervision or independently as required
* Good organisational skills with attention to detail
* Physical dexterity and stamina for handling materials and operating equipment over extended periods
