How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Title - Engineering Shift Manager
    Location - Coupar Angus
    Salary: £58,000
    Shift: Days 

    Job Role of the Engineering Shift Manager.
    A strong opportunity has become available for a Engineering Shift Manager to join a respected, industry-leading FMCG manufacturing business with a reputation for excellence. The Engineering Shift Manager will benefit from working for a company recognised for quality and operational standards.
    The Engineering Shift Manager will be responsible for both electrical and mechanical maintenance, supervising a team of engineers and Team Leaders on a day to day basis, involved in planning and organising the engineering department, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across site machinery.

    Sector – Factory Maintenance

    Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Engineering Shift Manager

    Experience in a Leadership or Supervisory role
    Multi-skilled maintenance experience within an industrial manufacturing environment.
    Engineering Qualifications Level 3 or Above 

    Requirements for the Engineering Shift Manager.

    Leadership and Supervisor Experience
    Experience in managing engineers on a daily basis
    Experience in planning and organising PPMs
    Experience working within a manufacturing environment.
    Willing to be Hands on 

    Desirable for the Engineering Shift Manager.
    Previous experience working as a Lead Engineer/Engineering Shift Team Leader/Engineering Supervisor/Engineering Manager in the UK.

    Experience with working on PLC’s, ideally being able to fault find using inputs and outputs
