How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    The Role
As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for inspecting and verifying components and sub-assemblies, while acting as a key link between suppliers and internal teams to drive quality improvements.
You will take ownership of supplier quality performance, ensuring issues are identified, communicated, and resolved efficiently.
    Key responsibilities include:
    * Inspecting sub-assemblies and components against engineering drawings using a range of metrology equipment, including CMM and Faro Arm
    * Recording inspection results, deviations, and non-conformances against specifications
    * Raising NCRs and working closely with suppliers to drive timely and effective resolution
    * Conducting root cause analysis on non-conformances and ensuring corrective actions are implemented
    * Acting as the main point of contact for supplier quality issues from the shop floor
    * Building strong relationships with suppliers to improve quality and performance
    * Promoting a “Right First Time” culture and continuous improvement across the supply chain
    * Applying appropriate AQL inspection plans based on supplier performance, product criticality, and risk
    * Managing supplier “Red Flag” processes within the ERP system
    * Supporting supplier audits, performance reviews, and KPI tracking
    * Maintaining and updating inspection and quality data within the ERP system
    * Working in line with ISO 2859-1:1999 sampling procedures
    * Supporting documentation such as ISIRs and First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs)
    * Occasional travel to supplier or client sites as required (expenses covered)
    About You
We are looking for a detail-oriented quality professional who is confident working in a precision engineering or manufacturing environment.
    You will ideally have:
    * At least 3 years’ experience in a machine shop or similar manufacturing environment
    * Strong understanding of quality and process tools such as SPC and AQL
    * Experience working to ISO 9001:2015 standards
    * Proven experience using CMM, Faro Arm, and a range of metrology equipment
    * Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications
    * Experience managing supplier quality issues and communicating KPIs
    * A solid understanding of geometric tolerancing, datum structures, and tight tolerances
    * Knowledge of ISIRs and First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs)
    Desirable Experience
    * Experience with welding and fabrication processes
    * Background in vacuum technology or a similar high-specification industry
    Qualifications
    * Degree, HNC, or HND in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related discipline
    Personal Attributes
    * Able to work independently and take ownership of tasks
    * Driven to improve processes and deliver high-quality outcomes
    * Highly motivated with a proactive approach
    * Strong attention to detail
    * Good communicator, able to listen, contribute, and implement decisions effectively
    Why Apply?
This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking engineering environment where quality is at the forefront. You’ll have the chance to make a real impact by improving supplier performance and ensuring the highest standards across complex, precision-built products
