An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Purchase Ledger Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of a busy finance function. This role will play a key part in ensuring financial processes run efficiently while supporting and guiding a small finance team.

The successful candidate will bring strong technical finance experience alongside proven team leadership skills, ensuring the team is well organised, supported, and set up for success on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the day-to-day operation of the finance function, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across processes
Supervise and support members of the finance team, ensuring workloads are organised and priorities are clear
Hold regular 1–2–1 meetings with team members to provide support, guidance, and performance feedback
Ensure the team is effectively set up each day, with clear direction on tasks and responsibilities
Review financial transactions, reconciliations, and reporting to maintain strong financial controls
Support the preparation of monthly financial reporting and management information
Manage and resolve complex or escalated finance queries
Maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners
Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and efficienciesSkills & Experience Required

Previous experience managing or supervising a finance team
Experience conducting regular 1–2–1s and supporting team development
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload across a team
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability
