Technician

A fast‑moving battery materials team is seeking a Technician to help drive their lab and development activities forward. You'll be directly involved in preparing materials, assisting with prototypes, and supporting the testing of next‑generation silicon anodes.
 
The Technician will:

Prepare and handle materials to support R&D and product development work.
Assist with prototype builds, test samples, and experimental setups.
Operate and maintain laboratory and pilot‑scale equipment.
Support test programmes through data recording, sample tracking, and simple analysis.
Maintain lab safety, organisation, and housekeeping standards.
Follow documented procedures and helping improve processes where needed.  
The Technician will have:

Practical technician, laboratory, or engineering experience (materials, chemistry, battery, manufacturing, or similar).
A hands‑on mindset with strong attention to detail and the ability to follow technical procedures.
Experience working with lab, workshop, or production equipment.
Basic understanding of measurement, testing, or data recording.
Comfort working in a fast‑paced R&D or start‑up environment.
Strong teamwork, communication, and organisational skills.
A relevant technical qualification (HNC/HND, apprenticeship, NVQ, or equivalent experience).
