LC Legal is delighted to be partnering with a forward thinking, well-established regional firm in Leeds, on the appointment of a Corporate Lawyer.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing and busy team with a strong pipeline of work. The firm’s client base is heavily embedded in the technology sector, offering outstanding exposure to private equity and investment-backed businesses.
The role
You will manage your own caseload and develop client relationships, with appropriate support, whilst also working with Senior Lawyers on more complex, high-value matters. Working within a collaborative environment, you will partner closely with colleagues across the firm to share opportunities, knowledge, and best practice.
Key responsibilities include:
- Advising on mergers and acquisitions (typically £1m–£15m)
- Supporting and where appropriate, leading on private equity transactions and investments, including management buyouts
- Assisting with shareholder arrangements and partnerships
- Advising on corporate governance matters
- Supporting the development of junior colleagues and contributing to wider team initiatives
- Participating in business development and networking activities
About you
- 3+ years’ PQE with strong corporate experience
- Strong technical grounding across a range of corporate matters
- Comfortable managing your own matters, with guidance on more complex work
- Interested in mentoring or supervising junior colleagues
- Commercially aware and keen to contribute to team growth
