How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Crime & Regulatory Partner – Manchester - Up to £120,000


    A leading Legal 500 and Chambers-ranked firm with a standout reputation in crime and regulatory law is seeking a Legal Director or Partner to join its expanding team, with national and high-profile clients.


    This is a rare opportunity to take a senior leadership role within a highly regarded practice, handling complex regulatory matters while supporting the Head of Department and shaping the future growth of the team.


    The Role


    • Lead on a wide range of business crime and regulatory matters, including inquests, public inquiries, Ofsted and CQC investigations, health & safety and environmental law
    • Act for clients across the private, public and charity sectors on contentious and non-contentious regulatory matters
    • Supervise, mentor and develop junior lawyers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture
    • Take on day-to-day operational management of the team, relieving pressure from the Head of Department
    • Deliver consistently high-quality client service while meeting agreed billing and performance targets
    • Support business development initiatives and contribute to the growth of the practice


    The Candidate


    • Established Senior Associate, Legal Director or equivalent with strong regulatory/crime experience
    • Confident managing sensitive and high-stakes matters
    • Experienced in team supervision and operational leadership
    • Commercially minded with a proactive, client-focused approach
    • Strategic, ambitious and ready to make a meaningful impact within a market-leading practice
