How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Electrician

    Location: London
    Salary: £46,000 plus night shift uplift
    Shifts:
    • 7am to 3pm
    • 10am to 6pm
    • One week per month on nights from 7pm to 5am

    Overview

    We are looking for an experienced Electrician to support the full upkeep of a major London visitor attraction. This includes the building, the ride experience, and the cinema experience. As an Electrician in this environment, you will work within a friendly and supportive engineering team where everyone helps each other, shares the workload, and takes pride in delivering an outstanding and safe experience for all guests.

    We are seeking an Electrician who is proactive, reliable, personable, and confident with both planned and reactive maintenance. You will receive structured onboarding and training to help you gain full competence with all site systems.

    Key Responsibilities

    General Maintenance

    • Carry out electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and basic plumbing tasks across the attraction
    • Complete reactive maintenance and planned preventative maintenance
    • Maintain strong safety standards and ensure full compliance across all work

    Attraction and Equipment Maintenance

    • Inspect, maintain, and repair ride systems and cinema equipment
    • Support the upkeep of motors, machinery, and emergency lighting systems

    Teamwork and Communication

    • Work closely with a team of twelve engineers who operate with a strong one team approach
    • Communicate confidently using walkie talkies during daily operations
    • Interact with guests when required, always maintaining a friendly and professional presence

    About You

    You will thrive in this role if you are an Electrician with:

    • Level 3 electrical qualification or an equivalent qualification
    • Experience with planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance
    • Knowledge of motors, emergency lighting, machinery, pneumatics, and mechanical systems
    • Experience with lift engineering is an advantage
    • A hands on approach and willingness to support the team
    • Strong communication skills and confidence in guest facing situations
