How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    SEN EHC Needs Assessment & Review Coordinator

    Location: Agile working – based at Town Hall, Hornton Street, Kensington (may work across Westminster & RBKC under Bi-Borough arrangements)
    Salary: £303.08 per day (Umbrella)
    Hours: 36 hours per week
    Contract: Initially 3 months, full-time

    The Role
    We are seeking a motivated SEN EHC Needs Assessment & Review Coordinator to join our Education, Health, and Care (EHC) Service. You will play a key role in supporting children and young people aged 0–25 with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

    Key Responsibilities:

    Manage a complex caseload of children and young people with EHCPs.
    Draft high-quality, person-centred, and outcome-focused EHC Plans.
    Process annual reviews within statutory timeframes.
    Coordinate multi-agency input across education, health, and social care, maintaining strong relationships with families, schools, and professionals.
    Oversee caseloads including Looked After Children and young people transitioning into adult provision.
    Manage high-cost out-of-borough placements and arrangements for children educated otherwise than at school.
    Ensure all EHC assessments are completed within statutory 20-week deadlines.
    Support tribunal case preparation, complaint responses, and service improvement initiatives.About You
    Strong knowledge of the Children & Families Act 2014, SEND Code of Practice, and related legislation.
    Experience in SEND casework or local authority education services.
    Excellent organisational skills, able to prioritise competing tasks effectively.
    Confident in building relationships with families, schools, and multi-agency partners.
    Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    Commitment to inclusive practice and improving outcomes for children and young people.
