How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Well-established, nationwide business in the entertainment / gaming sector is looking to recruit an electrically biased Maintenance or Service Engineer who has excellent hands-on repair, fault finding and debugging skills. An understanding and familiarity with IT network connectivity and general IT infrastructure would be a bonus.     JOB DESCRIPTION: Electrical Field Service Engineer, Electrical Technician, Maintenance Engineer - Gaming, POS, ATM, Photocopiers
     
    This is a field based electrically biased Service Engineer role providing scheduled service, maintenance, reactionary repair, installation and commissioning of a very wide range of machinery across the midlands (and occasionally further afield). You will also be responsible for repair and pre-commissioning of equipment at the Northampton workshop.  
     
    Very limited staying away.
     
    You'll also be liaising with internal team members, providing remote technical support for computer hardware and POS systems. As such, a familiarity with fault finding / extracting the relevant information from software applications would be a benefit.
     
    You will also support the internal IT systems - with very occasional shared IT support monitoring over evenings and weekend (for critical events only), and to cover holidays.
     
    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Electrical Field Service Engineer, Electrical Technician, Maintenance Engineer - Gaming, POS, ATM, Photocopiers
     
    · Field based electrically biased Service Engineer role
    · Repair and pre-commissioning of equipment at the Northampton workshop
    · Electro-mechanical work on hardware, plus troubleshooting issues related to software applications / network connectivity.
     
    PERSON SPECIFICATION: Electrical Field Service Engineer, Electrical Technician, Maintenance Engineer - Gaming, POS, ATM, Photocopiers
     
    · An electrically biased Maintenance or Service Engineer with excellent hands-on repair, fault finding and debugging skills
    · Familiarity with electrical equipment - so any experience in the gaming machine, atm, photocopier, point-of-sale sectors would be an obvious advantage
    · Understanding of network connectivity and general IT infrastructure would be an advantage
