Our client is a well-established construction main contractor based in Bournemouth, delivering high-quality projects across the commercial, education, healthcare and residential sectors. With a strong pipeline of secured work and continued growth across the South Coast, they are looking to appoint an experienced Estimator to join their pre-construction team.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Preparing detailed cost estimates and tenders for construction projects
Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentation
Producing accurate take-offs and pricing schedules
Liaising with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive quotations
Identifying value engineering opportunities
Attending tender review meetings and client presentations where required
Working closely with the pre-construction and commercial teams
Assessing project risks and opportunities
Maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants and supply chain partners
Supporting the business in securing profitable new work The ideal candidate will have:
Previous experience working as an Estimator for a main contractor
Experience pricing projects within sectors such as commercial, education, healthcare or residential
Strong understanding of construction processes and cost planning
Ability to interpret drawings and technical specifications
Strong analytical and numerical skills
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office
A proactive and organised approach to work
