What You Will Do:
- Design and deliver bespoke test rigs and fixtures, from concept to completion, using advanced CAD tools such as Catia V6.
- Create detailed 2D drawings for manufacturing parts at internal workshops and external suppliers.
- Collaborate with customers to identify testing requirements, ensuring rigs meet performance expectations.
- Work closely with workshop fitters and supervisors to oversee the assembly and delivery of test rigs.
- Validate designs through hand calculations, kinematics, Multibody Simulations (MBS), and FEA/CAE.
- Produce technical reports and review junior team members' designs to ensure quality and functionality.
What You Will Bring:
- Strong knowledge of testing methodologies related to road vehicle testing.
- Familiarity with vehicle architecture, components, and mechanical systems.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD modelling and interpreting complex 2D drawings.
- Understanding of manufacturing techniques and the ability to optimise designs accordingly.
- Excellent organisational skills to manage workloads and deliver projects on time.
