About the Role
My client, a well-established construction and property consultancy, is seeking a Chartered Building Surveyor to join their team in Sheffield. The role involves delivering a range of professional and project-based surveying services across sectors such as education, healthcare, and commercial property.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced surveyor to lead projects, provide technical expertise, and work closely with clients in a growing consultancy environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage building surveying projects from inception to completion.
* Conduct site inspections, condition surveys, and defect analysis.
* Prepare technical reports and provide professional advice to clients.
* Administer construction contracts including JCT and NEC.
* Support tendering and procurement processes.
* Advise on dilapidations, planned maintenance, and refurbishment works.
* Liaise with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders.
Requirements
* Degree in Building Surveying or a related discipline.
* Chartered (MRICS, MCIOB, FRICS).
* Strong experience in project delivery and professional surveying services.
* Good knowledge of construction methods, contracts, and building regulations.
* Strong communication and client-facing skills.
