Veritas Education is delighted to be working in partnership with a well-regarded independent primary school in Greenwich to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistant for an Easter 2026 start.
This school is known for its high academic standards, small class sizes, and nurturing environment, with a strong emphasis on both academic achievement and pupil wellbeing. As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher, providing 1:1 and small group support to help pupils stay engaged and reach their full potential.
This role would suit a patient, proactive and caring individual who is passionate about supporting children in a structured and supportive school setting.
The Ideal Primary Teaching Assistant Will Have:
* Experience supporting children in a primary school setting
* A good understanding of strategies to support learning, communication and behaviour
* A calm, nurturing and resilient approach
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
Main Responsibilities Include:
* Delivering targeted 1:1 and small group support
* Assisting the class teacher with differentiated activities
* Supporting pupils' social, emotional and academic development
* Using creative and engaging approaches to enhance learning
* Monitoring progress and providing feedback to the class teacher
* Helping to maintain a positive, structured and inclusive environment
