    Architectural Technician

    📍 Northumberland (Office-based with flexibility)

    💰 £35,000 – £40,000 + package

A well-established, UK housebuilder is looking to appoint an Architectural Technician to join their growing Technical team in Northumberland.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a business known for delivering high-quality homes and thoughtfully designed communities, with a strong focus on traditional values, craftsmanship, and placemaking.

    Salary & Benefits

Competitive salary (£35K–£40K depending on experience).

    Annual bonus scheme.

    Car allowance / travel support.

Generous holiday entitlement + bank holidays.

    Pension scheme.

    Life assurance.

    Employee discounts (including on homes).

    Supportive, team-focused working environment.

Long-term career progression within a growing business.

    About the Company

This respected regional developer has built a reputation for creating high-specification homes in desirable locations, often working on bespoke developments across the North East. With multiple live sites and several new developments in the pipeline, the business continues to grow while maintaining a strong commitment to design quality, sustainability, and community-focused schemes.

You’ll be joining a close-knit technical team, working collaboratively on a range of residential developments from concept through to completion.

    The Role

As an Architectural Technician, you will play a key role in supporting the design and delivery of residential schemes. You’ll be involved in both planning and technical stages, working closely with internal teams and external consultants.

    Key responsibilities include:

Producing and coordinating working drawings for housing developments.

Supporting layout design, house type development, and masterplanning.

Managing and responding to technical queries from site teams.

Liaising with external consultants, including architects and engineers.

Assisting with planning submissions and technical approvals.

Ensuring drawings comply with current building regulations and standards.

    What We’re Looking For

Experience within a housebuilder or residential design environment.

    Proficiency in AutoCAD (essential).

Knowledge of UK Building Regulations and residential construction.

    Strong communication and coordination skills.

Relevant qualification in Architectural Technology or similar.

    Experience with SketchUp (beneficial).

    Why Apply?

This is a great opportunity to join a people-focused housebuilder where quality is prioritised over volume. You’ll gain exposure to a wide variety of projects and have real input into the design and delivery of developments.

Ideal for someone looking to step into a stable, long-term role with a business that values its employees and takes pride in the homes it builds.
