    Job description

    Major Recruitment Oldbury are delighted to be recruiting for our Cradley Heath based client you are seeking an experienced Sales Account Manager to cover EDM consumables and graphite products. You will be predominantly based at the Cradley Heath site with occasional travel to Customer sites nationally.

    You will work closely with the Head of UK EDM Sales to manage and develop relationships with existing customers while proactively identifying and securing new business opportunities within the UK market. This role combines both internal sales activities (office based account management, remote selling) and external responsibilities (customer visits, meetings, and industry events).

    Duties and tasks will include:

     Manage and grow a portfolio of existing UK accounts through proactive communication and relationship building.
     Understand customer requirements and provide tailored product or service recommendations.
     Handle enquiries, quotations, follow ups, and order coordination.
     Monitor customer activity to identify upsell and cross sell opportunities.
     Resolve customer issues with speed and professionalism.

     Identify and target new business opportunities across the UK market.
     Conduct outbound calls, emails, research, and customer visits to develop new relationships.
     Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations.
     Attend trade shows, exhibitions, and networking events.
     Achieve targets for new customer acquisition and sales revenue.

    Candidates welcome to apply for the role will have the following:

     Proven experience in B2B sales, account management, or business development.
     Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship building skills.
     Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities effectively.
     Competent with CRM systems, Microsoft 365, and typical sales tools. (HubSpot and Microsoft Business Central would be advantageous)
     Self motivated, target driven, and confident working independently.
     Full UK driving licence for customer visits.
     Knowledge of the EDM (Electro Discharge Machining) process would be an advantage, although not essential.

    Hours of work are Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm with a 2.30pm finish on Fridays.
