As an Occupational Therapist within the college, you will play a vital role in supporting students with a range of complex needs, helping them to develop independence, functional skills, and access to education. You will work collaboratively with teaching staff, support teams, and external professionals to deliver high-quality, person-centred interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess, plan, and deliver tailored occupational therapy interventions
Support students' sensory, motor, and functional development
Contribute to Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
Provide guidance and training to staff on therapeutic strategies
Monitor and review student progress, maintaining accurate records
Work as part of a multidisciplinary teamEssential Requirements:
Qualified Occupational Therapist with HCPC registration
Band 6 level experience or equivalent
Proven experience working within an educational setting
Strong understanding of SEN, including complex needs
Enhanced Child and Adult DBS (essential)
Excellent communication and teamwork skillsDesirable:
Experience working with post-16 learners
