    Welding Inspector / Coordinator (CSWIP Qualified) Leeds

    About the Role

    We are seeking an experienced and proactive Welding Inspector / Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring welding activities meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance across all project phases.

    Key Responsibilities

    Conduct visual inspections of welds in accordance with relevant codes, standards, and client specifications.
    Coordinate welding activities and support production teams to ensure best practices are followed.
    Review and interpret welding procedures, WPS, PQRs, and welder qualifications.
    Complete and maintain detailed inspection reports, NCRs, and quality documentation.
    Monitor and verify consumables, materials, heat treatment cycles, and traceability.
    Liaise with project managers, QA/QC teams, and external auditors.
    Ensure compliance with HSE policies and promote a strong safety culture.

    Skills & Experience

    CSWIP 3.1/3.2 certification (essential).
    Proven experience in welding inspection within [fabrication / heavy industry / oil & gas / construction].
    Strong working knowledge of industry codes (e.g., ISO, EN, ASME).
    Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
    Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
    Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
