How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Teaching Assistant - SEN and Behaviour Support, Leamington Spa

A mainstream primary school in Leamington Spa is looking for a full-time Teaching Assistant to join after Easter. This isn't a general support role. It's a position for someone who's worked in classrooms before, who understands both behaviour support and learning, and who can step in with confidence from day one.

If you've been in this work long enough to know what a settled classroom feels like - and what it takes to get there - this could be the right move.

    What you'll be doing:

    * Supporting pupils with a range of SEND needs, including autism, ADHD, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) difficulties

    * Adapting your approach to meet sensory, communication, and behaviour needs within the same school day

    * Working 1:1 and in small groups to reinforce learning and build confidence

    * Helping to maintain calm, structured classroom environments where all pupils can access learning

    * Contributing to behaviour support plans and keeping the SENCO and class teacher informed

    * Assisting with morning routines, transitions, and other key moments where pupils need extra support

    * Bringing consistency and reliability to pupils who depend on it most

    What we're looking for:

    * Previous classroom experience as a Teaching Assistant, ideally in a primary setting

    * Hands-on experience supporting pupils with autism, ADHD, or SEMH needs

    * Understanding of how sensory processing and communication differences show up in the classroom

    * Ability to remain calm and consistent when behaviour is challenging

    * Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-focused approach

    * Experience with or understanding of behaviour frameworks is a real advantage

    * Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, or equivalent, preferred

    What's on offer:

    * A full-time position starting after Easter

    * Long-term placement through Sprint Education

    * A school in Leamington Spa with a genuine commitment to inclusion

    * Access to ongoing support and CPD through Sprint

    Why Sprint?

If you're looking to work as a Year 6 teacher in a mainstream classroom, providing day-to-day supply cover, we're probably not the agency for you. But if you're passionate about supporting students with additional needs and want a long-term role where you can build consistency and see the impact of your work every day, that's exactly what we do.
