How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    ?? About the Role

Are you looking for a rewarding support and care role where no two days are the same?

We're looking for kind, compassionate Support Workers to join our dedicated teams across Goole, Howden and Market Weighton. You'll provide high-quality, person-centred support to individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and other complex needs — helping them live their best lives with confidence, choice, and independence.

No previous experience is required. We provide full training and ongoing support. What matters most is your values — empathy, kindness, patience, and a genuine desire to support others.

? Shift Patterns & Working Hours

We offer both full-time and part-time roles, with a range of shift patterns to suit different lifestyles:

    Day shifts

You'll be expected to work every other weekend, with rotas planned in advance to support a healthy work–life balance.

?? What Will Your Day Look Like?

This is a varied and meaningful role. Some days are calm and structured; others are busy and fast-paced — that's what makes it so rewarding.

    You'll be supporting individuals with:

    Socialising and accessing community activities

    Developing hobbies and interests

    Daily living and personal care

    Household tasks and practical support

Life skills such as shopping and money management

Following and delivering individualised support plans

At the heart of everything you do is respectful, compassionate care, helping people build confidence, independence, and a life that's meaningful to them.

We recognise the importance of recruiting skilled, compassionate, and reliable staff, whilst demonstrating in practice our commitment to inclusion, safeguarding and promoting the welfare of adults at risk.
