A privately-owned, UKAS accredited Asbestos consultancy is seeking an experienced Asbestos Surveyor to join their outfit. You will be covering sites across the Home Counties and the South Eastern region, undertaking asbestos surveys in line with HSG 264 guidelines. Our client was established over 15 years ago, and provides compliance and testing services for a diverse portfolio of clients, and have strong infrastructure in order to support further training and development. Salaries on offer are dependent on experience, but remain competitive within the industry. Benefits include: company vehicle, overtime, annual leave and pension scheme.
Locations of work include: Milton Keynes, Bletchley, Leighton Buzzard, Luton, Biggleswade, Cambridge, Saffron Walden, Bishop’s Stortford, St Neots, Huntingdon, Bicester, Oxford, Abingdon, Didcot, Wallingford, Aylesbury, Watford, Reading, Harlow, St Ives, Newmarket, Wantage, Buckingham, Brackley, Banbury, Harrow, Wembley, Enfield.
Experience / Qualifications:
* Candidates must hold the BOHS P402 or RSPH equivalent
* Good track record within the industry, working for a UKAS accredited company
* Able to undertake all forms of asbestos surveys
* Good literacy and numeracy skills
* Proficient using IT software
* Professional manner
The Role:
* Attending client premises to complete full management, refurbishment and demolition asbestos surveys
* Conducting re-inspection surveys
* Safely obtaining asbestos samples from site
* Delivering samples to the laboratory
* Producing detailed survey reports and accompanying floorplans
* Advising clients on found risks and making appropriate recommendations
* Travelling in line with company requirements
* Adhering to HSE and HSG guidelines
