How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Financial Controller - London | Up to £70,000 + bonus, career growth & hotel group expansion

    We're recruiting for a Financial Controller to join a growing hospitality group in London. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a senior role within an expanding business, where you'll play a key part in driving financial performance, supporting new openings, and shaping the future of the finance function.

    Key Responsibilities:

    This Financial Controller position will see you leading the Accounts and Finance function across multiple sites:

    Oversee month-end, half-year, and year-end closing processes
    Produce accurate management accounts including P&L and balance sheets
    Prepare forecasts across P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow
    Analyse financial performance against budgets and drive improvements
    Manage cash flow forecasting and working capital
    Oversee supplier payments and weekly cash flow projections
    Lead AR and AP functions, managing a small team
    Ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations
    Manage audits and liaise with external auditors
    Review VAT submissions and maintain compliance
    Improve internal controls and support system implementations
    Drive efficiencies as the business scales

    What we're looking for:

    To succeed as a Financial Controller, you'll bring strong Accounts and Finance experience within hospitality:

    Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
    Previous experience in a Financial Controllerwithin a hospitality sector or similar
    Strong understanding of hotel finance and multi-site operations
    Experience managing multi-entity structures
    Excellent financial reporting and analytical skills
    Background in system implementation or finance transformation
    Confident communicator with both finance and non-finance teams
    Highly organised with strong attention to detail
