How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Quality Engineer
    We are recruiting a Quality Engineer for our reputable client (permanent position)
    Location: Melksham, Wiltshire
    Salary: £40,000-£45,000
    Bonus: Up to 10%
    Pension: Matched up to 7.5%
    Role: Quality Engineer
    About our Client hiring a Quality Engineer:
    An established engineering and manufacturing business with a strong focus on quality, compliance and continuous improvement. They are now seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to support production, process control, new product introduction and supplier quality across a technically demanding product range.
    Key Responsibilities as a Quality Engineer:
    Lead quality activities across production
    Review processes, controls and documentation, driving corrective actions and improvements
    Maintain SOPs, Control Plans and other quality documents
    Carry out patrol, final and document audits
    Support NPI, APQP, PFMEA and validation activities
    Support design reviews, change control, fault finding and failure analysis
    Carry out incoming inspection and support supplier quality activities
    Lead root cause investigations and continuous improvement work
    Support testing, SPC, process capability analysis and data-driven improvements
    Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and control of quality records and certification documents
    Provide technical quality support across Engineering, Operations and Supply Chain
    Requirements for the Quality Engineer role:
    Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent experience
    5+ years of experience in quality engineering or a related technical role
    Strong understanding of quality engineering within a manufacturing environment
    Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics and technical specifications
    Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving skills
    Experience with process control tools, data analysis and statistical methods
    Knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality system requirements
    Desirable experience for the Quality Engineer role:
    Experience in electronics manufacturing
    Knowledge of IPC standards
    Lead Auditor certification
    Experience with supplier quality and incoming inspection
    Knowledge of PFMEA, DFMEA, APQP and PPAP
    Understanding of RoHS, REACH, traceability and product compliance requirements
    Experience with Excel, Power BI, Power Automate or Visio
    Six Sigma, SPC or Green Belt training
    Experience with functional, environmental or reliability testing
    Knowledge of Lean, Kaizen and continuous improvement tools
