Hawkfield Recruitment is working with an award winning family-run dealer group Stourbridge. We are recruiting for an experienced Service Manager to join their busy aftersales department.
This is a well-established and reputable dealership with a busy aftersales operation and loyal customer base, creating an excellent opportunity for an experienced Service Manager to lead a high-performing team, drive operational efficiency, and deliver exceptional customer service within a professional and supportive environment.
Responsibilities of a Service Manager:
* Oversee the daily running of the service department, ensuring smooth and efficient operations
* Drive departmental performance and profitability across labour sales, parts, and associated revenues
* Monitor and manage budgets, costs, and key financial targets to maximise overall performance
* Plan and allocate workloads effectively to optimise workshop productivity and efficiency
* Lead, motivate, and develop the service team, creating a high-performance and customer-focused culture
* Ensure exceptional levels of customer service and satisfaction are consistently delivered
* Work closely with other departments to maintain strong internal communication and collaboration
* Support and implement marketing and retention initiatives to grow the customer base and increase repeat business
* Maintain full compliance with company standards, Health & Safety regulations, and industry legislation
* Monitor KPIs and performance metrics, taking proactive steps to drive continuous improvement
* Handle escalated customer queries and complaints professionally, ensuring positive outcomes
* Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and overall departmental performance
Service Manager Requirements:
* Previous experience as a Service Manager/Aftersales Manager in a dealer environment
* Strong leadership skills
* Track record of delivering outstanding customer service
* Full UK Driving Licence
